Our new complex needs care home, Marmaduke, will open in Spring 2021 and will provide specialist nursing care for adults living with a range of complex and high acuity care needs.
Construction of the home started in August 2020, by contractor Walter Thompson, and is due to be completed in Spring 2021, bringing a range of jobs to the local area in managerial, domestic, nursing, catering and caring roles.
Once completed, Marmaduke’s 18 large bedrooms - each with an en-suite wet room - will provide ground floor living for adults living with dementia, acquired brain injury, complex mental health conditions and physical disabilities.
The home will be surrounded by an easy-access sensory garden and include a communal hub, living and dining spaces for residents and their friends and family to socialise.
“We know the Hull area well, having our existing home, St Andrews Court, located in west of Hull, near Gipsyville and know that there’s a demand for a high-quality specialist nursing home in the area. We’ve worked closely with the Clinical Commissioning Groups and local authorities and are proud to bring this one-of-a-kind facility to Hull, to enable local people who have suffered an accident, or are living with complex needs, to live close to home, regain their independence and everyday living skills, and move back into their homes in the community."
Charlotte Loyd, Commissioning Director, Exemplar Health Care
