When you start with us, you’ll do a welcome induction which introduces you to the company, our mission and values. You’ll also complete mandatory and statutory training.
After that, you’ll do a role specific induction which is relevant to your home. During your first few months with us, you’ll be supported by a buddy who’s already working in a Care Home Manager role.
What does a Registered Care Home Manager do?
Our Registered Care Home Managers are the heartbeat of everything that happens in their homes.
As a Care Home Manager, you’ll be empowered to shape your own service and team, and really make a difference to people’s lives.
This is an inward and outward facing position. You’ll be accountable for the operational functioning, strategic development and business success of your home.
You’ll ensure that your team feels well led, developed and supported, as well as building close connections with local authorities and Clinical Commissioning Groups to drive referrals.
What experience and qualifications does a Registered Care Home Manager need?
To apply for a Care Home Manager role, you must have management experience in a complex care setting and a first level nursing registration with a valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) pin number. In some circumstances and where it’s the right fit, we’ll recruit a Care Home Manager who has equivalent experience.
This role also requires:
- management or supervisory training, certificate or qualification
- post qualification clinical training and/or CPD
- leadership and management training and/or CPD
- management experience in a complex care service.

If your application is successful, you’ll do a four day welcome induction which introduces you to the company and covers mandatory and statutory training.
