Leadership Team

Steve Melton is the CEO of Exemplar Health Care and oversees the company’s strategy, quality management and business excellence. Steve has made it Exemplar Health Care’s mission to make every day better for our residents and colleagues.

Dr Graham Rich is the Chair of Exemplar Health Care and chairs the Board of Directors which oversees the company’s quality and performance. He works closely with Chief Executive to support the senior leadership team to make every day better for our people.

Susan Marshall is a Non-Executive Director with Exemplar Health Care. She supports the Executive Team in making decisions that ensure the delivery of excellent care and services for our service users.

Angus Blyth is Chief Finance Officer at Exemplar Health Care and provides financial and commercial leadership across the company. Angus brings a wealth of experience to support Exemplar Health Care with its growing portfolio of specialist care homes.

Helen Baxendale is Clinical Director at Exemplar Health Care. She’s responsible for ensuring that our residents receive the highest standards of nursing care, and that our care homes meet regulatory standards and requirements.

Matthew Blain is the HR Director at Exemplar Health Care. He oversees the HR function which is responsible for recruitment, selection, talent management, organisational development and health and wellbeing.

Elizabeth is Legal Director at Exemplar Health Care. She acts as the Company Secretary and Senior Information Risk Owner, and advises colleagues on all legal matters including the construction of new care homes, safeguarding and employment law.

Rachel Calladine is Business Development Director at Exemplar Health Care. She builds and maintains positive relationships with funding organisations, such as Clinical Commissioning Groups, local authorities and NHS Trusts.

Selina Wall is Managing Director of Commissioning at Exemplar Health Care. She oversees the development of all of our new homes, from acquiring new land to the home’s first CQC inspection.

Ruth is Managing Director of Core at Exemplar Health Care. She leads the Core Operations Team that oversees the established homes across the company operationally, whilst driving for outstanding regulatory compliance across the portfolio.

Martin Vickerman is the Property and Developments Director at Exemplar Health Care. He's responsible for delivering a holistic property service including maintenance, small works, compliance, major developments and portfolio management.

James Robson is Chief Transformation Officer at Exemplar Health Care. He specialises in project and change management, and supports a range of projects across the company that aim to make every day better for our people.

David Pancott is Chief Information Officer at Exemplar Health Care. He oversees the IT Team and is involved in our digital transformation project, which aims to improve quality of care and transform our digital systems and processes.
