About us

We believe people with complex needs should be able to receive the care they need without giving up the things that make life feel like their own.

And that’s what we’ve been doing for over 25 years.

Complex care with everyday life at its heart

Some people need more care and support than traditional care settings can provide, without needing to live in hospital.

We created a different kind of care home for people with complex needs – bringing together 24-hour nursing, multidisciplinary expertise, needs-led staffing, and environments designed around the individual.

Today, our care homes support more than 1,300 adults across England.

Our story

Exemplar Health Care began in 1999 as a training company.

We soon recognised the need for community-based care for younger adults with complex needs and opened our first care home, Longley Park View in Sheffield.

Since then, we’ve grown to more than 60 care homes across England.

2026 – Springfield Vale gets DSDC accreditation
