We're winners at the Care Home Awards 2019

Exemplar Health Care is delighted to announce that after being finalists for two awards, we have been awarded a High Commendation for two national Care Home Awards – in the following categories – ‘Best for Specialist Care (for our Barnsley home, Dearnevale)’ and ‘Best Small Care Home Group.’.
In association with care industry-specific magazine, Care Home Management, The Care Home Awards, are a celebration of innovation and excellence across care homes in the UK and recognise the very best achievements in the care industry.
Helen McGowan, Manager of Dearnevale and Bernadette Hinchliffe, Regional Director of Operations attended the ceremony on behalf of Exemplar Health Care on Thursday 27 June at the Platinum Suite at Excel London. The awards are held as part of the annual Health and Care Show and are judged by a panel of independent, high profile judges from across the sector.
The awards offered an opportunity to showcase Exemplar Health Care’s expertise and commitment to providing high-quality, specialist health care for people who live with very complex needs and our dedication to ensuring person-centered care and maximising the quality of life for every person we care for across our 27 specialist nursing care homes.
Dearnevale, in Grimethorpe, awarded High Commendation for ‘Best for Specialist Care’ provides specialist nursing care for those living with neuro-disabilities, brain injuries, mental health conditions and progressive conditions such as Huntington’s disease and were rated Outstanding by the CQC in March 2018. The home credits a large part of their success to the excellent care provided by the many long serving members of the team.
