Exemplar Health Care starts work on new complex needs care home in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire

Exemplar Health Care is pleased to announce that work has started on a new specialist nursing home for adults living with complex needs in, Ellesmere Port, Cheshire.

The new home, named Jessop House, will open in spring 2022, and will support 20 adults for living with acquired brain injuries, spinal injuries, stroke and complex physical disabilities and mental health conditions.

The community-based home will provide person-centred care and rehabilitation that focuses on maximising independence, building everyday living skills and empowering people to live as fulfilled lives as possible.

The home will be built by construction firm Pacy & Wheatley and will generate over 100 new jobs for those in the surrounding area.

When it opens, Jessop House will join Exemplar Health Care’s existing portfolio of 32 homes across England.

About the new complex needs care home

Once completed, Jessop House will have 20 large bedrooms – each with en-suite facilities. It will include a visitor suite, activity areas, therapy room and quiet lounge areas, along with dedicated separate lounge and dining areas on each floor.

The home will also be surrounded by an easy-access sensory garden for residents and their friends and family to enjoy.

Stable and secure jobs for local residents

Jessop House will create over 100 stable, secure, full-time and part-time jobs for local residents.

The home will begin recruiting autumn 2021 for Nurses, Health Care Assistants, Administrators, Kitchen and Domestic Team members, and other support staff.
