We have a range of temporary and permanent roles currently available across our 32 care homes in England. These roles are ideal for students who are currently looking for work, and who want to gain extra skills and work experience to add to their CV, as well as those who are interested in starting a career in the health and social care sector.

It doesn’t matter if you haven’t worked in care before – we’re looking for people who are caring, have good communication skills and enjoy working with people.

The roles offers flexible shifts, on a temporary basis, ideal for students who are looking for work over the coming months, with the opportunity for longer term career development, including bank work whilst you finish your degree.

Exemplar Health Care pays all employees the National Living Wage regardless of their age – that means that you’ll be paid at least £8.72 per hour from April onwards, which is higher than other similar industry roles.

If you come and work for us, you’ll also get free meals on your shift and you can order staple food through our suppliers, that will be delivered to your place of work and deducted from your wage.

About the role

Exemplar Health Care supports people with complex care needs such as neuro-disabilities, autism, learning disabilities and spinal injury – and you’ll be making a big difference to the lives of some of the most vulnerable people in the community.

If you proceed through the online recruitment process, you’ll receive a fast-track, hands-on induction in an Exemplar Health Care home and buddy up with an experienced colleague whilst you learn the ropes. Once you get started, there are lots of opportunities to do training, and if you decide to stay, we’ll pay for you to do social care qualifications.

Each home is different but your role might involve offering companionship, getting involved in activities, supporting people at meal times and helping people to get in and out of bed – but you can be assured that you won’t be asked to do anything that you haven’t been trained to do!

Is it safe?

Exemplar Health Care is committed to ensuring the safety of all colleagues and service users, and we're taking every possible step to minimise the risk of Coronavirus (Covid-19) across our homes.

You’ll be employed in a single place of work, which means that working in an Exemplar Health Care home is often safer than other community-based care roles.

We’ve implemented a number of precautionary measures and are closely monitoring the Government’s advice to ensure your safety, should you start working at Exemplar Health Care.
