Bennett Court care home in South Elmsall, Pontefract, recently held a fundraising event where they raised over £750 for Dementia UK.
The team at Bennett Court opened their doors to the local community for a summer fayre to raise funds for Dementia UK.
Colleagues from the home, including the Activities Team and Health Care Assistants, came together to organise attractions such as a tombola, hook-a-duck and food stalls for people to enjoy throughout the day.
Members of the local community, as well as friends and family, joined in with the fun by visiting The Purple Pig Company’s petting zoo and getting a tasty treat from ‘Val’s Ices’ to cool down.
Alison, Life Skills Co-ordinator at Bennett Court, shared “It was a fantastic day. The usual tombola, lucky dip, teddies, hook-a-duck, burgers and raffle proved popular for our local community as well as our residents and colleagues. It was a real team effort from Bennett Court which was fabulous!”
