Exemplar Health Care has appointed Lindsay Morris as Programme Director, a new role created to strengthen multidisciplinary working and support the development of specialist care pathways across the organisation.
Lindsay will lead an 18-month programme focused on bringing together operational, clinical, therapeutic, and behavioural expertise to further develop how teams work together to support people with complex needs.
Responding to changing needs
The appointment comes at a time when more people are living with multiple diagnoses, co-existing conditions, and complex support needs.
For many people, these needs are interconnected and require input from a range of professionals. Effective multidisciplinary working brings this expertise together, helping teams develop a more holistic understanding of the individual, coordinate care, and respond as needs change.
By strengthening collaboration between nursing, therapy, behavioural, operational, and other specialist teams, Exemplar Health Care aims to build on its existing expertise and further enhance the care and support provided to people with complex needs.
Speaking about her appointment, Lindsay said:
"People living with complex needs often require support from a range of professionals, each bringing different expertise and perspectives.
“When those disciplines work closely together, we can develop a much fuller understanding of someone’s needs, make better-informed decisions, and respond more effectively when those needs change.
"Throughout my career, I've seen the difference that strong multidisciplinary working can make to people's lives.

Bringing extensive clinical and operational experience
A Registered Learning Disability Nurse, Lindsay brings extensive operational, clinical, and leadership experience to the role.
Throughout her career, she’s held positions including Registered Manager, Clinical Lead, Director of Nursing, and Regional Manager across a range of health and social care services.
Since joining Exemplar Health Care in 2021 as Regional Director of Operations, Lindsay has supported care homes across Yorkshire and Humber and led a range of operational, clinical, and quality improvement initiatives.
Reflecting on some of that work, Lindsay said:
"One of the highlights has been helping to shape our approach to supporting people with complex needs alongside a secondary learning disability diagnosis.
“That work brought together colleagues with different professional backgrounds and expertise around a shared goal. It demonstrated the value of looking at someone’s needs collectively and developing the right approach around the individual.
“That collaborative way of working is something I’m looking forward to building on in this new role.”
