Cheshire Springs opens following successful CQC registration

Our brand new Cheshire Springs care home in Ellesmere Port is officially registered with CQC, along with the home’s Manager, Lindsay Abraham.

The home, located on Chester Road in Whitby, Ellesmere Port, has opened its doors to its first residents following registration from the regulator.

It’s Exemplar Health Care’s first specialist nursing home in Cheshire, bringing this much needed service to the area.

Cheshire Springs will provide a welcoming and supportive home for 20 adults living with complex and high acuity needs.

The trained team of Health Care Assistants, Registered Nurses and Therapists specialise in supporting those living with complex mental health needs, neuro-disabilities and physical disabilities.

The team will be supported by Home Manager, Lindsay Abraham, who’s previously led our Ribble View care home to a ‘Good’ CQC rating, and Head of Care, Alison Lancaster. Together, they bring a wealth of experience working in complex and high acuity care settings.

Cheshire Springs has 20 large bedrooms, each with an en-suite wet room, across two units. The home has communal dining and living spaces, an activities hub, a therapy kitchen, a beauty salon and a large accessible garden. Each of the home’s units have two rooms built specifically for those with bariatric care needs.

Home Manager, Lindsay, shares: “I’m thrilled to have opened Exemplar Health Care’s first care home in Cheshire.

“I’ve been involved in recruiting and training our in-house skilled team, and am excited to see what we can achieve, together.

“Our colleagues undertook a bespoke induction, including Exemplar Health Care’s PBS training that’s accredited by Bild ACT. They celebrated at a team graduation a few weeks ago, and are looking forward to welcoming our first resident at the end of June.”
