Profile of need by unit
Bluebell Unit
Has a primary neurological diagnosis such as brain injury, dementia, or Parkinson’s
Has one or more secondary diagnoses or co-morbidities that present needs beyond the scope of mainstream care providers
May present with behaviours of concern
May have experienced one or more failed placements
Prefers a calm environment for those sensitive to sensory overload which may lead to increased agitation or confusion
Due to the progressive nature of these conditions, requires advanced care planning, as well as palliative and end-of-life care to ensure dignity and comfort
Bluebell has a strong history of supporting people who’ve experienced one or more failed placements, often due to significant behaviours of concern, providing stability, consistency, and person-centred interventions to meet their changing needs.
Foxglove Unit
Has a primary dementia diagnosis
Has a secondary brain injury and/or mental health diagnosis
Displays behaviours of concern, requiring structured behaviour support from a highly trained team
May have limited mobility requiring specialist aids and equipment to support their daily living needs
Due to the progressive nature of dementia, requires advanced care planning, as well as palliative and end-of-life care to ensure dignity and comfort
The environment on Foxglove Unit is thoughtfully designed in line with the University of Stirling’s ‘Environments for Ageing and Dementia Design Assessment Tool (EADDAT),’ creating a space that promotes comfort, independence, and overall wellbeing.

Directions to Ravensdale
Ravensdale is a short drive from junction 44 of the M1.
From here, take the A64/York Road, turn onto Sherburn Road, and then onto Naburn Drive.
Ravensdale is at the end of this road, before you get to the primary school.
There are limited parking spaces in the home’s car park. Street parking is available along Naburn Walk.
Public transport to Ravensdale
The home is a short walk from several bus stops.
Naburn Place bus stop in both directions (stop IDs: 45010784 and 45013714), which is accessed by buses 16, 16A and 56.
The home is also close to Seacroft Ring Road and Seacroft Green Shopping Centre, offering a range of bus links.
