With this small group living, we’re able to provide a homely and supportive environment that’s more responsive to individual needs.
The home also has an activities hub, beauty salon, multi-faith room, therapy room, and large accessible garden.

Profile of need by unit
Horsforth Unit
Has complex physical health needs that require a high level of nursing input, observation, and monitoring
May have a primary physical disability or neurological diagnosis, such as brain injury, presenting with predominant physical health needs
May require clinical interventions, including catheter and stoma care, central venous access management, and enteral feeding
Displays behaviours of concern
Requires close monitoring to manage complex and changing health needs
May be moving on from a mental health hospital or from a failed placement in another care setting
Requires palliative or end-of-life care, now or in the near future
Thrives in an active and sociable environment
The unit has a dedicated bedroom with a ceiling hoist track to support bariatric care.
Middleton Unit
Has severe cognitive impairment and/or dementia diagnoses
Has multiple secondary mental and physical health diagnoses and co-morbidities
Displays behaviours of concern
May have limited mobility, requiring specialist aids
Requires palliative or end-of-life care, now or in the near future
The environment on Middleton Unit is thoughtfully designed in line with the University of Stirling’s ‘Environments for Ageing and Dementia Design Assessment Tool (EADDAT),’ creating a space that promotes comfort, independence, and overall wellbeing.
