Hillside Court has 41 bedrooms, each with an en-suite, across four units.
With this small group living, we’re able to provide a homely and supportive environment that’s more responsive to individual needs.
Each unit features communal dining and living spaces, accessible bathrooms, and personalised bedrooms.
The home also has an activities hub, beauty salon, multi-faith room, therapy room, and a large accessible garden, encouraging social connections and meaningful engagement. Our visitor’s suite allows overnight stays whilst visiting loved ones.
Hillside Court is near local amenities and transport links, helping people stay connected to the community.
Horsforth Unit
Horsforth Unit supports working-age adults with a primary mental health diagnosis or complex mental health needs arising from a brain injury, alongside significant behaviours of concern and physical health needs.
People may have a history of substance use disorder and/or present with high safety risks such as absconding or falls.
Led by a Registered Mental Health Nurse, the team includes Mental Health and General Nurses, enabling holistic care that traditional mental health or physical disability units cannot provide.
Individuals on Horsforth typically transfer from a mental health hospital or following a failed placement in another care setting. The unit offers both long- and short-term placements, with a focus on discharge to lower-acuity settings when appropriate.
Horsforth is an active and sociable environment, with a focus on community engagement, meaningful occupation, and life skills development.
Middleton Unit
Middleton Unit supports older adults with a primary dementia diagnosis, who may also present with behaviours of concern and/or have multiple diagnoses or co-morbidities that present needs beyond the scope of mainstream care providers.
Due to the progressive nature of dementia, individuals on Middleton require advanced care planning, as well as palliative and end-of-life care to ensure dignity and comfort.
They may also experience limited mobility and/or physical disabilities, requiring access to specialist aids and equipment to support their daily living needs.
The environment is thoughtfully designed in line with the University of Stirling’s ‘Environments for Ageing and Dementia Design Assessment Tool (EADDAT),’ creating a space that promotes comfort, independence, and overall wellbeing.
Roundhay Unit
Roundhay Unit is a male-only environment that supports working-age adults with a primary mental health diagnosis or complex mental health needs arising from a neuro-disability, who display significant behaviours of concern.
These individuals may present high-risk behaviours that require a single-sex setting to reduce risk to themselves and others, as well as one or more secondary diagnoses or co-morbidities that present needs beyond the scope of mainstream care providers.
The unit is led by an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse, promoting an environment of independence, community involvement, meaningful engagement, and life skills development.
Woodhouse Unit
Woodhouse Unit (opening soon) supports working-age adults with physical disabilities and health needs arising from conditions such as MS, MSD, and other neurological disorders.
The team includes both Mental Health and General Nurses, enabling holistic care that traditional care homes cannot provide.
People may require care for clinical interventions, including PEGs, tracheostomies, and ventilators.
