Hillside Court has 41 bedrooms, each with an en-suite, across four units.
With this small group living, we’re able to provide a homely and supportive environment that’s more responsive to individual needs.
Each unit features communal dining and living spaces, accessible bathrooms, and personalised bedrooms.
The home also has an activities hub, beauty salon, multi-faith room, therapy room, and a large accessible garden, encouraging social connections and meaningful engagement. Our visitor’s suite allows overnight stays whilst visiting loved ones.

Profile of need by unit
Horsforth Unit
Has a primary mental health diagnosis or complex mental health needs arising from a brain injury
Has co-occurring physical health needs
Presents with complex behaviours of concern
May have a history of substance use disorder
May present with high safety risks such as absconding or falls
May be transferring from a mental health hospital or from a failed placement in another care setting
Thrives in an active and sociable environment
Led by a Registered Mental Health Nurse, the team includes Mental Health and General Nurses, enabling holistic care that traditional mental health or physical disability units cannot provide.
Horsforth Unit offers both long- and short-term placements, with a focus on discharge to lower-acuity settings when appropriate.
It's an active and sociable environment, with a focus on community engagement, meaningful occupation, and life skills development.
Middleton Unit
Has a primary dementia diagnosis
Has one or more secondary mental or physical health diagnoses
Presents with complex behaviours of concern
May have limited mobility requiring specialist aids and equipment to support daily living needs
Requires palliative or end-of-life care, now or in the near future
The environment on Middleton Unit is thoughtfully designed in line with the University of Stirling’s ‘Environments for Ageing and Dementia Design Assessment Tool (EADDAT),’ creating a space that promotes comfort, independence, and overall wellbeing.
Roundhay Unit (male-only)
Has a primary mental health diagnosis or complex mental health needs arising from a neuro-disability
Requires a male-only environment
Has secondary diagnoses or co-morbidities that present needs beyond the scope of mainstream care providers
Presents with significant behaviours of concern
Requires care focused on independence, community involvement, meaningful engagement, and life skills development
Woodhouse Unit (opening soon)
Has one or more physical disabilities and/or physical health needs arising from neurological disorders, such as MS and MND
Requires care for clinical interventions such as PEGs, tracheostomies, and ventilators
May present with behaviours of concern
