Stanley Unit
Stanley Unit supports older working-age adults living with complex needs arising from mental health or neurological conditions such as acquired brain injury and dementia, who may display behaviours of concern beyond the scope of mainstream providers.
Led by a Registered Mental Health Nurse, the team provides structured, evidence-based behavioural support.
This includes functional assessments, personalised support plans, proactive strategies, skill development, and safe reactive responses - all underpinned by our Exemplar Positive Behaviour Support approach.
We provide individualised staffing and observation levels, including 1:1 or 2:1 support when needed.
Over time, we often see a reduction in behaviours and observation needs as people settle into a consistent, person-centred routine.
For those with progressive conditions, we support advanced care planning to ensure people’s wishes for end-of-life care are known and respected.
Chipperfield Unit
Chipperfield Unit supports adults living with complex physical health needs - often related to the later stages of neurological conditions - who require ongoing, multidisciplinary support.
Led by a General Nurse, the team is skilled in managing complex respiratory conditions and providing care for people with tracheostomies, PEGs, and ventilators.
This includes airway management, emergency readiness, communication support, and infection control.
Many people also experience reduced mobility and require regular repositioning, skin integrity checks, and postural support.
Bedrooms open onto a private patio area, offering emotional and physical benefits for those who spend extended time indoors or in bed.
Our care goes beyond typical nursing or residential settings, combining clinical expertise with meaningful engagement and enhanced quality of life.
For those with progressive conditions, we support advanced care planning to ensure people’s wishes for end-of-life care are known and respected.
