With this small group living, we’re able to provide a homely and supportive environment that’s more responsive to individual needs.
The home has communal dining and living spaces, an activities hub, beauty salon, multi-faith room, therapy room, visitors suite and a large accessible garden.
We offer a variety of accessible baths and showers for a range of mobility needs.

Hazel Grove Unit
Has a primary neurological diagnosis, including brain injury, Huntington’s disease, and stroke
Is a working-age adult
Presents with predominant physical health needs
Requires a high level of clinical nursing input and observation to monitor for deterioration
May require nursing and clinical interventions, including catheter and stoma care, central venous access management, enteral feeding, and advanced respiratory support such as tracheostomy care, non-invasive ventilation (CPAP/BiPAP), or mechanical ventilation
May have significant mobility impairment requiring full assistance with transfers and repositioning, specialist equipment, and enhanced moving and handling support
Engages in daily life with encouragement and structured support
May be moving from a hospital setting
Requires support that promotes independence while ensuring safety
For those with degenerative conditions, requires care focused on maintaining function and promoting independence for as long as possible
For those with rehabilitation potential, may progress to a lower acuity and less restrictive environment as needs stabilise
Heatons Unit
Has a primary dementia diagnosis, including alcohol-related, frontotemporal, or vascular dementia, or Korsakoff syndrome
Is an older adult
Presents with predominant mental health and behavioural needs
Displays behaviours of concern, including disinhibited and sexualised behaviour
May have a forensic background, with risk-related behaviours reduced or ceased, and may remain subject to legal restrictions or Section 117 aftercare
May have a secondary neurological diagnosis, including Huntington’s disease or Parkinson’s
May have co-occurring physical health needs
May present with increased clinical and safety risks, including infection, malnutrition, falls, or risks related to personal safety
May have dysphagia, requiring modified diets, supervised mealtimes, and aspiration risk management
Has reduced engagement requiring a proactive, structured approach
Requires a calm, low-stimulation environment with dementia-friendly adaptations
Requires care focused on cognitive support, emotional wellbeing, functional maintenance, and meaningful occupation
May have experienced one or more previous placement breakdowns
May experience progressive health decline associated with increasing frailty
May require continuing care through to end of life
Mersey Unit
Has complex mental health needs arising from a primary mental health or neurological diagnosis, including acquired brain injury, Huntington’s disease, or stroke
Is a younger working-age adult
Displays significant behaviours of concern requiring enhanced observation and structured risk management
May require planned restrictive practices within a positive behaviour support framework, reducing as behaviours stabilise
May have a history of hospital admission under the Mental Health Act (Section 2 or Section 3)
May have a forensic background, with risk-related behaviours reduced or ceased, and may remain subject to legal restrictions
May have a history of alcohol or other substance misuse
May have co-occurring physical health needs and limited mobility requiring regular assistance
Requires care focused on life skills development, meaningful occupation, and risk management
Can live in an active, sociable environment, where shared spaces and regular interaction with others are part of everyday life
May be moving from a hospital or secure setting
Requires care focused on stabilisation and risk management, including structured daily routines, consistent staff support, and monitoring of mental state and behaviour
Where possible, may progress to a lower acuity and less restrictive environment as needs stabilise

Adswood Lodge is a short drive from junction 1 of the M60 and other major roads including Wellington Road S and Buxton Road.
There's limited parking at the front of the building. The main car park is accessed via Lorne Grove.
To get to the car park from the home, head west on Adswood Lane West towards Warren Road.
Turn right onto Shaw Road and then right onto Lorne Grove.
The car park is at the end of the street.
