With this small group living, we’re able to provide a homely and supportive environment that’s more responsive to individual needs.

Cedar Unit
Has complex mental and physical health needs arising from conditions such as brain injury, dementia, mental health, and other neurological diagnoses
Displays complex behaviours of concern
Has physical health needs considered ‘high risk’, requiring a high level of nursing input, observation, and monitoring
Has co-occurring conditions including diabetes, dysphagia, epilepsy, or respiratory conditions
Requires care for clinical interventions such as catheters, enteral feeding, Hickman lines, stomas, tracheostomies, and ventilators
May have limited mobility, requiring regular repositioning, skin integrity checks, and ongoing monitoring
May require occupational therapy and physiotherapy input
May have a history of substance use disorder
Maple Unit (male-only)
Presents with predominant chronic mental health needs, often arising from conditions such as bipolar disorder, recurrent depression, and schizophrenia
May be in the later stages of a neurological condition, such as dementia or the long-term effects of a brain injury
Requires a male-only environment
Displays complex behaviours of concern
Has co-morbidities and/or co-occurring physical health conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, epilepsy, or respiratory illness
May have a history of substance use disorder
May have cognitive impairments affecting attention, communication, concentration, judgement, memory, and processing
May have limited mobility, requiring regular repositioning, skin integrity checks, and ongoing monitoring
Is generally stable, requiring care to manage symptoms through structured support, therapy, and medication
