Located in Stoke-on-Trent, Scotia Heights is a nursing care home for adults with complex needs. Service users at Scotia Heights live in six 10-bed units; Doulton, Aynsley, Port Merion, Moorcroft, Wedgewood and Spode. Each unit has a dining room, choice of lounges and an adapted sensory bathroom.
Bedrooms can be decorated to suit personal tastes and there is a TV point in each room. Every bedroom has an accessible en-suite wet room. A large sensory garden has space for summer barbeques and events. Accessible for all, the garden includes a patio area for relaxing and socialising and raised beds for gardening.
At Scotia Heights, we understand the importance of good, nutritious food and encourage service users to practice their culinary skills to ensure a varied and interesting menu is available to everyone, taking into account personal preferences, condition-specific and religious dietary requirements.
From our experience we are more than satisfied with my son’s care at Scotia Heights. Although my son is unable to do anything for himself, the help, love and support by everyone who comes in contact with his care means we can’t thank them all enough.
