A time capsule was planted in the grounds of Woodside Place to celebrate the opening of the brand-new care home.
Colleagues of the newly opened care home in Telford invited their families for a fun day filled with arts and crafts, games and lots of food.
The children, aged between 1-15, wrote letters containing their hopes and dreams and drew heartwarming treasures reflecting their creativity.
In the capsule is group pictures and memories of recent events including a newspaper announcing the Oasis tour.
Alongside their creations, the capsule includes architectural plans and designs of the home as well as items from the building constructor Deeley Group.
During the event, the homes first resident spoke with the guests, inspiring one teenager to apply for a job in the care industry.
The special day was captured with photographs on an instant camera to share the experience.

A piece of history
Once the time capsule was planted, the children placed a plaque to mark its location in the newly landscaped gardens.
The time capsule will remain in the gardens, a piece of history, to be opened in 10 years-time by future residents.

A fantastic way to celebrate the opening of Woodside Place
Carly Burford, Home Manager at Exemplar Health Care shared: “Planting a time capsule for future residents to open is a fantastic way to celebrate the opening of Woodside Place.
“The children were thrilled to be involved, and their contributions are truly heartwarming.
“It’s a day we won’t ever forget, and I want to thank everyone for participating.”
