Exemplar Health Care appoints Andy Leonard as Business Development Manager to support growth of business

As we open five new care homes in 2021, we’re pleased to announce that we’ve appointed Andy Leonard as Business Development Manager to support the growth of the company.

Exemplar Health Care is one of the country's leading nursing care providers.

Adding to our existing 32 care homes across England, work has started on five new specialist services in Hull, Bradford, Birmingham, South Elmsall and Ellesmere Port.

The homes will provide nursing care for adults living with complex neuro disabilities, physical disabilities and mental health needs.

Andy Leonard has been appointed as Business Development Manager to support the development of new business within Exemplar Health Care’s growing portfolio.

Andy has a wealth of experience working in business development and marketing roles in the health and social care sector. And we’re delighted to bring his knowledge and expertise into the company.  

After starting his career with The Newcastle Nuffield Hospital and Spire Washington Hospital, Andy joins Exemplar Health Care from mental health service provider, Cygnet Healthcare, where he spent seven years working as a Business Relationship Manager.

Talking about his new role, Andy shares: “I felt that it was the right time for me to take on a new challenge, and this role seemed like a really good opportunity to join a provider with a great reputation, and with ambitious growth and development plans.”

When asked about what he’s most looking forward to over the next six months, Andy said: “Getting to know new colleagues and services, hitting the ground running, and hopefully having a positive impact on maintaining current business and generating new business.”

Andy joins our existing business development and referrals teams, who work with Clinical Commissioning Groups, local authorities and NHS Trusts across the country, to support adults living with complex needs find the right care, the first time round.
