Ravensdale’s Catering Manager, Delia, used her 60th birthday to collect donations for local food banks at LS14Trust and St Richards Church in Seacroft, Leeds.
Having worked at Ravensdale for over five years, Delia was inspired by the outstanding care that she sees each and every day.
With her 60th birthday approaching, Delia decided to give something back to her local community and asked friends to share donations for local food banks rather than traditional presents.
Delia received an overwhelming response from not only loved ones, but her fellow colleagues at Ravensdale.
Delia shares: “I feel inspired by the incredible team I work with, and wanted to give something back.
“I had no idea how much of a positive impact this would have.
“I feel humbled by the sheer number of donations that have been received and proud of the amazing team we have here at Ravensdale.”
Home Manager, Sarah, said: “I am so proud of Delia and the Ravensdale team.
“Instead of presents, she asked for donations for two local food banks, and everyone in the home got involved.
“We’ve set up a basket in reception to continue this amazing support inspired by Delia. As well as Ravensdale colleagues, the donation basket will be open to our neighbours and businesses.
“We want to continue to support this cause as a home.”
