Residents and colleagues at Bennett Court transformed their home into the Wild West for a lively community celebration that brought together residents, families, friends, colleagues, and neighbours.
Building a community
Residents from other Exemplar Health Care homes, Willowbeck and Yarningdale, joined Bennett Court for the cowboy-themed event.
The day gave everyone a chance to reconnect with familiar faces from previous get-togethers, like the popular 'speed meeting' event, while also making new friends and strengthening the community across our homes.
It was also a great opportunity for everyone to dress up, try something new, and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of spending time with some unusual, but friendly, animal guests.

Entertainment, animals, and laughter
The party included a live performance from 'Singalong Days', which got everyone singing and dancing to well-loved country classics.
Wild West themed games were set up for everyone to enjoy, and bring out a little bit of their competitive said.
A petting zoo, hosted by the ‘Purple Pig Company’, featured goats, pigs, and a cow.
Miniature ponies also made an appearance, giving everybody the chance to interact, take photos, and talk about their own experiences and memories with animals.

A home filled with laughter and love
Hollie, Home Manager at Bennett Court, shared:
“It was wonderful to see so many people from Bennett Court, our neighbouring homes, and the local community come together for such a fun day. The people we support really valued being able to connect with the animals, enjoy the music, and take part in activities that sparked lots of laughter.”
“At Bennett Court, we care about creating opportunities that are meaningful to each person - whether that’s building friendships, experiencing new things, or reconnecting with past interests.”
