Cheshire Springs officially opens

Last week, Susan Marshall, Non-Executive Director with Exemplar Health Care officially opened our newest specialist care home, Cheshire Springs, in Ellesmere Port.
Cheshire Springs, based on Chester Road in Whitby, Ellesmere Port, is our first complex needs care home in Cheshire.
The new home specialises in supporting adults living with complex mental health needs and neuro-disabilities including Huntington's disease and Parkinson's disease.
Colleagues, residents and family members, along with local commissioners and Exemplar Health Care senior leaders, were invited to celebrate the official opening of the home which cost over £4M to build.
Alison Lancaster, Home Manager at Cheshire Springs, shared: “Thank you to everyone who joined us for the officially opening. We are very excited to open the first Exemplar Health Care home in the region and look forward to welcoming residents into their new home.
“Cheshire Springs will provide a supportive environment for up to 20 adults in the Ellesmere Port area. People will get the specialist nursing care they need, and are able to stay closer to their loved ones.
“We have a trained in-house team of Health Care Assistants, Nurses and Therapists who will support people to maximise their independence and live their best lives.
“As we welcome more residents to the home, we’re on the lookout for local Health Care Assistants and Registered Nurses to join the team.
“This is an exciting opportunity to work in a brand new service and be part of the team to that shapes our home’s culture as we work towards our first CQC inspection.

About Cheshire Springs
Cheshire Springs has 20 large bedrooms, each with an en-suite, across two ten-bed units.
The home has communal dining and living spaces, an activities hub, a therapy kitchen, a beauty salon and a large accessible garden. Both units have the provision for bariatric care and a sensory bathroom.
The Thomas Telford Unit supports adults living with neuro-disabilities and physical health needs.
The William Jessop Unit supports adults living with complex mental health needs, dementia and neuro-disabilities.
The home is close to local amenities and transport links so that people can maintain their community connections.
