Adswood Lodge is now open; our new complex needs care home in Stockport

We’re delighted to announce that our new complex needs care home in Stockport, Adswood Lodge, is now open.

Adswood Lodge supports adults living with complex mental health needs, neuro-disabilities and physical disabilities. 

The team were delighted to open their doors today and introduce their first resident to their new home. Helen Lawson, Commissioning Manager, said: “Today is a really memorable day for the team. We’ve been working hard towards this day to ensure that the home is ready and team is trained, so that we can provide specialist nursing care for those who most need it.” 

About Adswood Lodge

Adswood Lodge is a purpose-built care home on the site of a locally listed former public house, Adswood Hotel. 

The home carefully retained the early 20th century front façade of the building, and the design of the home is in keeping with the local area, whilst also meeting the needs of the residents who will live in the home.

The home has 30 large bedrooms, each with an en-suite, across three units. This small group living enables us to provide a supportive environment that’s responsive to people’s needs.

Each unit has lots of communal space with a dining room, lounge, quiet lounge and a sensory bathroom. 

Residents can also enjoy an activities hub, hair salon and large accessible gardens for socialising with others. The home has its own therapy room providing a dedicated space for rehabilitation.

As we welcome new residents to the home, we’re looking to grow our team with Health Care Assistants, Registered Nurses and support roles including catering, housekeeping and maintenance. 

As a specialist care provider, our staffing levels are higher than most, with an average of six Health Care Assistants and at least one Registered Nurse on each small unit. 

Our in-house team also includes a Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Therapy Assistant and Activities Team.
