With this small group living, we’re able to provide a homely and supportive environment that’s more responsive to individual needs.

Profile of need by unit
Coppice Unit
Has a primary neurological diagnosis, such as Huntington’s disease, MS, MND, or spinal injury
Has predominant physical health needs, including diabetes, dysphagia, epilepsy, and respiratory conditions
May have severe cognitive impairment
May have limited mobility
May require clinical interventions, including catheter and stoma care, central venous access management, enteral feeding, and advanced respiratory support (e.g. tracheostomy care, CPAP/BiPAP, or mechanical ventilation)
Requires close monitoring to manage complex and changing health needs
Thrives in an active and sociable environment
Requires a rehabilitation-focused environment, supporting progression to supported living or a lower-acuity setting
Miners Unit (male-only)
Has complex mental health needs arising from a mental health diagnosis (e.g. schizophrenia, bipolar disorder) and/or an acquired or organic brain injury
May have moderate to severe cognitive impairment
Displays behaviours of concern
May have a forensic background and may be subject to legal restrictions, although risk-related behaviours have reduced or ceased over time
May have a history of alcohol and/or substance misuse
Requires a high level of nursing input, observation, and monitoring to minimise the risk of relapse
May require the use of restrictive practices initially, reducing as needs stabilise
Requires a community-based placement following discharge from a mental health hospital or prison service
Requires a structured, slower-paced environment
Requires care focused on meaningful occupation, emotional wellbeing, and maintaining function
Saddlers Unit
Has complex mental health needs arising from a mental health or neurological diagnosis, such as acquired brain injury, dementia, Huntington’s disease, or Parkinson’s
Displays behaviours of concern
May have co-occurring physical health needs requiring interventions such as catheter and stoma care, and enteral feeding
Is independently mobile, but may experience declining mobility as needs change
May experience progressive physical deterioration and increasing dependency
Requires care focused on maintaining comfort, dignity, and quality of life
Requires support that adapts as cognitive and physical health needs change
May require ongoing care through to end of life

There are limited parking spaces in the home’s car park. Street parking is available along Brownhills Road.
