Making-every-day-better

Making every day better

As a specialist care service, Blackmoor has an excellent track record of successfully helping those who have had failed placements previously. Our high staffing levels enable us to work as people’s own pace and build trust, which leads to longer term, person-centred outcomes.

We care for some of the most complex and acute individuals, who would often be in a hospital setting if not placed with us, enabling them to stay in the community and reducing hospital and secure facility admission. Many of the people we support have been deemed to have behaviours that are considered ‘too complex’ for mainstream nursing and care services.

All of our care and nursing colleagues complete our Exemplar Positive Behaviour Support (EPBS) training that’s been certificated by Bild ACT, and are supported by our central team of Behaviour Support Specialists. This means that, for many of our service users, we’re successful in achieving a significant reduction in behaviours of concern and use of observations within 12 weeks of stay.

About our care

I’m delighted and proud that Blackmoor will support Birmingham's community. We at Exemplar Health Care know the Birmingham area well, having two fantastic, high-quality homes in Birmingham. We’ve also closely consulted with local Clinical Commissioning Groups and the council to understand the keen demand for a high-quality home like Blackmoor in the area.
