Enjoying the first sight of Summer in May

Throughout the month of May, we’ve been enjoying the first taste of summer with bank holiday celebrations, BBQs and trips out.

Fun in the sun

The team at Fairburn Mews never misses an opportunity to have a bit of fun, and when the sun started shining last month, the water pistols came out!

Residents from Yarningdale enjoyed a morning out at the canal rally at Langley Mill where they enjoyed listening to music, watching the boats and meeting some beautiful animals.

Supporting local sporting communities

Dave from Greenside Court won two tickets for a Sheffield United FC match and he chose the Sheffield United v Preston North End match. Sheffield United won 4 -1!

Dave hasn't been to a match for a number of years and really enjoyed himself. He couldn't take his eyes off the field.

Jeff and David from Longley Park View joined the Sheffield United FC team in the city to cheer them on as they paraded through the city after achieving promotion to the Premier League.

Simon and Joe from Greenside Court enjoyed cheering the Huddersfield Giants as they came away with a 20-4 victory!

Mental Health Awareness Week

Our teams came together to host events, fundraise for charity, and connect with each other and themselves, to raise awareness and campaign for Mental Health Awareness Week.

At Exemplar Health Care, we support people with a range of mental health conditions. We also know that whilst working in care is extremely rewarding, it can also be challenging. That’s why the week is so important to us.

Kingfisher View in Castleford hosted a coffee and cake morning for the Mental Health Foundation. Everyone ‘wore it green’ and enjoyed a variety of delicious baked goods with family and friends.

The Activities Team at Fairburn Mews created a week long agenda for everyone to get involved with Mental Health Awareness Week. This included a relaxation session with face masks and massages, and all colleagues were sent home with a small pamper gift to relax and enjoy.
