We’re delighted to announce that our new complex needs care home in Castleford, Wheldale Heights, is registered with CQC and is now open.
Wheldale Heights is our eighth care home in West Yorkshire. The home will support adults living with complex mental health needs, neuro-disabilities and physical disabilities.
Based on Wheldon Road, Wheldale Heights will provide a supportive environment in which people will receive the specialist nursing care they need, and are able to stay closer to their loved ones.
About Wheldale Heights
Wheldale Heights has 24 large bedrooms, each with an en-suite, across two units. With this small group living, we’ve found we’re able to provide a supportive environment that’s more responsive to people’s needs.
We encourage people to personalise their rooms so that it feels like home. Whether that’s a full re-decoration or encouraging people to bring special items that are filled with fond memories.
Each unit has a communal dining room, a lounge, a quiet lounge and a sensory bathroom. In addition, there is an activities hub, an accessible garden and a therapy room providing a dedicated space for rehabilitation.
