Our Marmaduke care home in Hull has marked six months supporting adults with complex and high acuity care needs.
Located in Hull, Marmaduke care home is part of Exemplar Health Care.
Marmaduke opened in May 2021, and is currently home to 16 residents with complex needs. In September 2021, the home was officially opened in a ribbon-cutting ceremony by the Lord Mayor of Hull, Councillor Lynn Petrini.
Katie Capes, Commissioning Home Director at Marmaduke said, "I’m thrilled to celebrate six months of Marmaduke being officially open, it’s a beautiful building which is now a welcoming home for 16 residents and a great place to work for 60 colleagues.
Desmond's Story
Desmond moved into our Marmaduke home in Hull following a failed placement at another residential home. Following a number of pre-admission assessments, Marmaduke was identified as the only local service that could meet his complex needs and enable him to remain close to home.
The high staffing levels and nurse-led care team at the home has supported Desmond with all aspects of his daily living and he lives a fulfilling life.

The home has 18 large bedrooms and the facilities and skills to provide safe person-centred care for adults living with neuro-disabilities, acquired brain injuries and complex mental health needs, including those who display behaviours of concern.
