Brook View care home in Fazakerley, Liverpool, marked its first birthday this week with lots of food, gifts, and some fantastic cakes!
Residents and colleagues enjoyed the warm weather with food, drinks, lollies and ice creams under gazebos in the garden.
After the cutting of two spectacular iced cakes, everyone enjoyed circus-style games, including snakes and ladders, hoopla, and hook-a-duck.
Colleagues who have been working at the home since it first opened were awarded with gifts, including watches and bracelets.
“It was a really lovely day,” said Brook View’s Home Manager.
“All of the Brook View team took part today in making it a success - from the decorations to the food.”
Brook View opened in August 2019. A month later, the home was officially opened in a ribbon-cutting ceremony by the Lord Mayor of Liverpool, Anna Rothery.
