Blackmoor celebrates its first anniversary

Blackmoor care home in Birmingham marked its first anniversary last week with cakes, food and gifts. 

At a party held at the home last week, colleagues who have been working at the home since it first opened were awarded with gifts as a thank you for their year’s service.

Residents and colleagues celebrated the special occasion with music, refreshments and a decorated cake and cupcakes to match.

Exemplar Health Care’s Managing Director, Selina Wall, joined colleagues to thank them for their commitment throughout the first year.

The home opened in September 2021, after a £4.9m investment to provide Birmingham with a new state-of-the-art, nursing home. Blackmoor supports adults living with complex mental health needs and neuro-disabilities.

The home was officially opened in February 2022 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by the Lord Mayor of Birmingham, Councillor Muhammad Afzal.

Blackmoor’s Home Manager, said: “We had a fun day celebrating our one year anniversary. This was a great opportunity to thank the team for their hard work during our first year of being open.”
