‘Why choose a career in health care?’ is a question we often hear. The care sector is often portrayed slightly negatively amongst the press and general public. This leads to many people having a distorted opinion on health care as a whole. We’re here to shine a light on the benefits of choosing a career in health care, and most importantly, a career with Exemplar Health Care.
You make every day better
It’s our tagline because we truly mean it. Working within the care sector allows you to come into contact with a range of different people, with lots of different conditions. Within our homes you could work with individuals with a brain injury, autism, dementia, or Huntington’s disease to name a few. You’ll have the potential to make a huge difference in someone’s life, making your role incredibly rewarding.
The opportunities are endless
At Exemplar Health Care, we place value in starting a career, not just a ‘job’. All of our roles have clear career pathway options. Whether you start as a Cook and progress to Catering Manager, a Health Care Assistant to a Nursing Associate, or a Registered Nurse to a Home Manager, we’re here to support you every step of the way. We have an amazing in house Learning and Development Team, always on hand to provide detailed training for any new practises, personal development and anything that will enhance your core care skills.
Flexible working hours
The people we support don’t just need care between 9 and 5. This means there are lots of working hour options. We offer 12 hour shifts, night shifts, part time and full time work, ensuring there's something for everyone.
No two days are the same. In any care role with us you’ll be working with a range of different people, of all ages, with different goals, likes and dislikes! You’ll get to support our residents with lots of different activities. For instance, taking up new hobbies, meeting friends, going to the gym or looking their best! Each of our residents have unique personalities and life-experiences, and their stories could keep you going for years – you’ll certainly never be bored in a role!
