&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Are you an experienced Cook looking for a new challenge? Join us as our new Cook at Lakeview care home in Wigan.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt; 
&lt;p&gt;In this role, you&amp;rsquo;ll cook delicious, healthy and nutritious meals for the people we support in our care home.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt; 
&lt;p&gt;Meal times are an important part of our daily routine, even moreseo for those living in care homes.&lt;/p&gt; 
&lt;p&gt;In this role, you&amp;rsquo;ll ensure that everyone has a positive dining experience, to increase nutritional intake, promote social interaction and&amp;nbsp;build a sense of community.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Our Cooks make delicious and nourishing meals for people with a range of dietary requirements.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt; 
&lt;p&gt;No two days will ever be the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;preparing, cooking and serving&lt;/strong&gt; food&lt;/li&gt; 
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;understanding&lt;/strong&gt; people&amp;rsquo;s needs, likes and choices to develop suitable menus&lt;/li&gt; 
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;interacting &lt;/strong&gt;with the people we support to get feedback on meals&lt;/li&gt; 
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;complying&lt;/strong&gt; with food hygiene standards&lt;/li&gt; 
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;completing&lt;/strong&gt; relevant checks and maintaining records&lt;/li&gt; 
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;being&amp;nbsp;&lt;/strong&gt;a great team player, working as part of the wider Catering Team.&lt;/li&gt; 
&lt;/ul&gt;

&lt;p&gt;We like our Cooks to have a food hygiene certificate and a relevant catering qualification, but these aren&amp;rsquo;t necessary.&lt;/p&gt;
