&lt;p&gt;In this role, you&amp;rsquo;ll cook delicious, healthy and nutritious meals for the people we support.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt; 
&lt;p&gt;You&amp;rsquo;ll ensure that everyone has a positive dining experience, to increase nutritional intake, promote social interaction and&amp;nbsp;build a sense of community.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Our Cooks make delicious and nourishing meals for people with a range of dietary requirements.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt; 
&lt;p&gt;No two days will ever be the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include:&lt;/p&gt; 
&lt;ul&gt; 
&lt;li&gt;preparing, &lt;strong&gt;cooking &lt;/strong&gt;and serving food&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt; 
&lt;li&gt;understanding people&amp;rsquo;s needs, likes and choices to &lt;strong&gt;develop suitable menus&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/li&gt; 
&lt;li&gt;interacting with the people we support to get &lt;strong&gt;feedback&lt;/strong&gt; on meals&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt; 
&lt;li&gt;complying with &lt;strong&gt;food hygiene&lt;/strong&gt; standards&lt;/li&gt; 
&lt;li&gt;completing relevant &lt;strong&gt;checks&amp;nbsp;&lt;/strong&gt;and maintaining records&lt;/li&gt; 
&lt;li&gt;being a great &lt;strong&gt;team player&lt;/strong&gt;, working as part of the wider Catering Team.&lt;/li&gt; 
&lt;/ul&gt; 
&lt;p&gt;If you haven&amp;rsquo;t worked in the care sector before, we&amp;rsquo;ll help you feel right at home from the start with our induction, buddy, and ongoing training programmes.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;li&gt;someone with excellent verbal and written communication skills.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;p&gt;We like our Cooks to have a food hygiene certificate and a relevant catering qualification, but these aren&amp;rsquo;t necessary.&lt;/p&gt;
