&lt;li&gt;fostering community spirit through &lt;strong&gt;group activities&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/li&gt; 
&lt;li&gt;supporting people to maintain their current, and take up new, &lt;strong&gt;hobbies&lt;/strong&gt;, interests and educational opportunities&lt;/li&gt; 
&lt;li&gt;assisting people to become more involved in their &lt;strong&gt;local community&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/li&gt; 
&lt;li&gt;celebrating national &lt;strong&gt;awareness days&lt;/strong&gt;, holidays and individual/collective achievements&lt;/li&gt;
