Last week, Managing Director Selina Wall and Core Learning and LMS Manager, Lauren Brooke celebrated with graduates from our CPD accredited ABC of Caring programme.
Six colleagues from across Exemplar Health Care have completed the training programme which gives Health Care Assistants and Activities Coordinators the skills, knowledge and behaviours needed to make every day better for our service users.
We’d like to congratulate Angela Hanton, Life Skills Co-ordinator at Quarryfields, Jackie Hill, Health Care Assistant at Havenmere, and Anne Kershaw, Health Care Assistant at Ribble View who all attended the graduation ceremony in Barnsley last week, as well as Laura Chapman, Damion Crump and Sally-Ann Marriot from Meadowcroft who were unable to attend.
The ABC of Caring programme includes six modules.
Always Be Communicating (Communication skills)
Always Be Courteous (Customer service)
Always Be Coaching (Introduction to coaching)
Active, Brave, Courageous (Raising concerns)
Achieving Brilliant Changes (Service improvement)
Approachable, Bold, Communicating (Taking the lead)
Learners complete the programme over six months, coming together for one day a month to complete each modules.
Graduates of the 2021 ABC of Caring programme enjoyed celebrating at Tankersley Manor in Barnsley, where they reflected on their individual learning journeys and how their career has enhanced since learning new skills on the programme.
