We’re delighted to announce that this week we officially opened our newest Leeds care home for complex needs, Copperfields.
The ribbon was cut by Lord Mayor of Leeds Councilllor Eileen Taylor, alongside Copperfields’ Commissioning Home Director Sharon Burton. They were accompanied by senior Exemplar Health Care executives, team members and commissioners.
Copperfields provides support for 30 adults living with complex needs, including people living with complex dementia and long-term mental health conditions.
‘A beautiful building’
Sharon Burton, Copperfields’ Commissioning Home Director, said: “We’re thrilled to announce Copperfields officially open, it’s a beautiful building which I know will provide a special home for our residents. Having worked in the health and care sector for over 30 years, I’m excited to work with my talented team of nurses and carers to provide a welcoming and inspiring home for our residents.”
Lord Mayor of Leeds, Councillor Eileen Taylor, said: “I am incredibly proud to mark the official opening of this brilliant new home. It was so nice to see local people from the community working in the home and it has been lovely to meet Sharon and the team at Copperfields.
"I would like to congratulate Exemplar Health Care on this fantastic new building, it is clear the team have really worked hard to make Copperfields such a comfortable place to live for those in their care”
Also in attendance were members of neighbouring gardening group Cross Green Growing Together, who helped to name the home Copperfields in November last year.
