Exemplar Health Care starts work on new complex needs care home in Stockport

Exemplar Health Care has begun the build of a new complex needs care home in Stockport, that’ll provide specialist nursing care for adults living with a range of complex and high acuity needs.

Exemplar Health Care’s new ‘Adswood Lodge’ care home is receiving a £3.7 million investment, which will provide specialist nursing care for 30 residents and will generate over 150 new jobs for those in the surrounding Stockport area

Once completed, Adswood Lodge’s 30 large bedrooms - each with an en-suite wet room - will provide ground floor living for adults living with dementia, acquired brain injury, complex mental health conditions and physical disabilities.

The home will be surrounded by an easy-access sensory garden and include a communal hub, living and dining spaces for residents and their friends and family to socialise.

The build was started last month by the construction firm, Walter Thompson, the contractor is also building Cheshire Springs, our latest care home in Ellesmere Port, which is set to open in Spring 2022.

Stable and secure jobs for local residents

Adswood Lodge will create over 150 stable, secure, full-time and part-time jobs for local residents.

The home will begin recruiting Winter 2022 for Nurses, Health Care Assistants, Administrators, Kitchen and Domestic Team members, and other support staff.
