Our new complex needs care home in Pontefract, opens in two months

Bennett Court, Exemplar Health Care’s £5 million state-of-the-art complex needs care home in South Elmsall, Pontefract, is set to open in two months.

The three-storey home, will have 30 large bedrooms - each with an en suite wet room - spread over three floors and surrounded by large landscaped gardens. Bennett Court will also have high-quality communal spaces, including landscaped gardens, for service users and their visitors to enjoy.

The home will care for 30 adults living with a range of complex needs including people living with a brain injury, neuro-disability, spinal injury, physical disability and mental health condition.

Bennett court will also give service users the ability to participate in activities that encourage being part of a community. The in-house Therapy Team will work with service users to develop and build on skills to maximise independence.

‘Raring to go’

“We’re raring to go,” said Helen Lawson, Bennett Court’s Commissioning Home Director. Helen brings 16 years of specialist nursing experience to the role.

“We’re proud that Bennett Court can support 30 people, and provide over 150 stable, secure and varied local jobs.”

“Bennett Court will have a beauty salon including a hairdresser’s sink and chair, large and spacious lounges on every unit, bariatric bedrooms on the ground floor and a hub in the reception that will enable service users to participate in cooking and rehabilitation." Helen added.
