How do I prepare for an interview?

You’ve secured an interview with us here at Exemplar Health Care – congratulations! We understand interviews can be a little nerve wracking, however with some preparation we know you’ll do great. We’ve gathered our top tips to help you prepare for an interview with us.

Do your research

There’s lots of different employers within the healthcare industry, all with different goals, values and cultures. Before your interview, we recommend researching! A great place to start is our company website. Take a look around to find out more about what we do, what are values are and what’s been happening at Exemplar Health Care recently. We also have also have different social media channels you can check out to really get a feel of what it’s like working here.

It’s also a great idea to research your job role. Have a read through the job description and really understand the role duties and person specifications.

Think about the interview questions

We’re not here to catch you out! In our interviews we want to get to know you as a person, and make sure your values align with ours. At the heart of every role at Exemplar Health Care is the goal to make every day better for the people we support. If you have a passion to achieve this goal, show us in your interview! Have some answers to the questions we may ask in mind that really show us why we should choose you for the role.

It’s also important to remember an interview is a two-way thing. Although we are looking to see if you are a good it for Exemplar Health Care, you need to ask questions to decide whether we are a good fit for you. Use your research to form some questions for us. Are there any areas of the role you’d like to know more about? Maybe you’d like to know about career progression? We’re open to any questions you may have.

Make a great first impression

It’s important you make a great first impression on your interview. Start with being on time! We understand things don’t always go to plan, so if you’re running late please let your interviewer know. You should also dress appropriately for your interview, and remember to wear a smile! Most importantly, be yourself. We’re looking for caring, committed and passionate people, and the easiest way to show us this is by just being yourself!
