Marmaduke has 18 bedrooms, each with an en-suite, across two units.
With this small group living, we’re able to provide a homely and supportive environment that’s more responsive to individual needs.
The home has communal dining and living spaces, an activities hub, a therapy kitchen and a large accessible garden.
We offer a variety of accessible baths and showers for a range of mobility needs.
Marmaduke is near local amenities and transport links, helping people stay connected to the community.
Fairhaven Unit
Fairhaven Unit offers a male-only environment for individuals who require nurse-led care due to complex needs arising from mental health or neurological conditions.
Typically, people are aged 45 and above.
The team is trained to support people who display frequent behaviours of concern, through a positive behaviour support approach.
In addition to their mental health needs, many of the residents also have co-occurring physical health conditions, such as diabetes, catheterisation, enteral feeding, or wounds, which require careful and consistent management.
Hopewell Unit
Hopewell Unit is designed for older adults, typically aged 65 and above, who are living with complex mental health needs, often arising from neurological diagnoses such as dementia.
Residents in Hopewell may display behaviours of concern, which can sometimes require specialised interventions.
While the focus is on mental health, many residents also have low-level co-occurring physical health needs, such as the need for clinical interventions like catheters and PEG feeding tubes.
Hopewell Unit is an active and lively environment, where people thrive in a stimulating atmosphere with plenty of social activities and engagement.
The team is trained to ensure that each individual receives care that balances mental health support with physical care needs in a community-oriented setting.

Directions to Marmaduke
Marmaduke is a short drive from the M62/A63.
If you're travelling south on the M62, merge onto the A63 and follow toward the city centre. Take the exit towards 'Local Traffic Infirmary'.
From the roundabout, turn onto Hessle Road and turn right onto Marmaduke Street.
Marmaduke is situated at the end on your left.
There are limited parking spaces in the home’s car park. Street parking is available along Marmaduke Street.
