Latest developments at our new Castleford home, Kingfisher View

Due to open for residents at the end of next month, Exemplar Health Care’s newest specialist care home in Castleford is now week 16 into the build process.

Kingfisher View joins our two other Castleford homes, Fairburn Mews and Fairburn Vale, and will provide specialist nursing care for people who live with very complex needs and will specialise in providing care for people with mental health conditions.

After our last update, the development team have reached the final stages of completion, the homes’ kitchens and bathrooms are in place and are now fully functional. The next stages will include finalising the bedrooms, living and dining spaces and adding the last touches to the communal garden.

The purpose-built service will be made up of five two-bedroom apartments and two one-bedroom apartments as well as shared communal spaces and gardens.

Ahead of the opening of the home, Exemplar Health Care held a special preview event and saw West Yorkshire health care professional enjoy a first look of the facilities, the grounds and gain an understanding of the type of service Kingfisher View will provide.

Kingfisher View’s official opening event will take place on Thursday 16 May, 11am-3pm and invites local health care professionals and regional commissioners to come along, meet the management and care team and get a first-look at Exemplar Health Care’s newest service. More information about the home’s official opening event will be released soon.
