Brook View in Liverpool celebrates first birthday!

Our Brook View home in Fazakerley, Liverpool, marked its first birthday this week with lots of food, gifts, and some fantastic cakes!

Residents and colleagues at the home, one of Exemplar Health Care’s two complex needs care homes in Liverpool, enjoyed the warm weather with food, drinks, lollies and ice creams under gazebos in the garden.

After the cutting of two spectacular iced cakes, everyone enjoyed circus-style games, including snakes and ladders, hoopla, and hook-a-duck.

Colleagues who have been working at the home since it first opened were awarded with gifts, including watches and bracelets.

“It was a really lovely day,” said Brook View’s Home Manager, Sharon Mcloughlin. “All of the Brook View team took part today in making it a success - from the decorations to the food.”

Brook View, currently home to 26 residents, opened in August 2019. A month later, the home was officially opened in a ribbon-cutting ceremony by the Lord Mayor of Liverpool, Anna Rothery.

About Brook View

Located in Fazakerley on the Aintree University Hospital site in Liverpool, Brook View is a specialist nursing care home for adults living with a range of complex and high acuity needs.

The home has 32 large, airy bedrooms, each with an en-suite wet room. Each of the two floors has a dining and communal living area. There is a large kitchen and social area located on the ground floor as well as two quiet lounges on the first floor.
