Exemplar Health Care residents collaborate across the business and show off their skills

The Service User Council recently hosted a face-to-face meeting to discuss how they could improve collaboration at Exemplar Health Care. After the meeting, the Council were joined by live finalists in the Exemplar’s Got Talent competition, to show off their skills.

Over 90 people attended the valuable Council meeting from Exemplar Health Care homes across the country. The Service User Ambassadors were joined by colleagues in care roles and people from Central Services including Business Development and Marketing. 

The Service User Council is made up of Ambassadors from each Exemplar Health Care home and members of the Leadership Team. The Council meets every month and gets involved in important decisions and projects across the company. 

Each of our care homes has a Service User Ambassador who acts on behalf of the residents in the home on the Service User Council.

The Council has been involved in important changes such as developing our service user holiday policy and organising company-wide competitions, such as our Exemplar Elite Games and Exemplar’s Got Talent.

After an exceptionally productive day, it was time for everyone to switch off and have some fun. In the afternoon, the Council were joined by finalists from the care homes who entered the Exemplar’s Got Talent competition. The Council were then given the hard task of picking winners from some brilliant and emotional performances.

Exemplar's Got Talent live final

Throughout summer, residents and colleagues were invited to enter our Exemplar’s Got Talent competition to show off their skills and special talents. 

We received many talented entries from residents across our care homes. With many performing dances or singing, to showing their football skills or drawing exhibitions. 

Seven entries made it to the final, which took place live at the Service User Council meeting. All of the finalist received a hamper of their choice, before taking to the stage for the final time.
