If you work in the hospitality, leisure or travel sectors and are looking for extra work over the coming months, Exemplar Health Care is recruiting for permanent, temporary and bank carers.

It doesn’t matter if you haven’t worked in care before – we have colleagues from all sectors working in our homes - if you’re caring, have good communication skills and enjoy working with people, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re offering flexible shifts on a temporary basis, with working patterns to suit your commitments, to help us to ensure that the people we support can continue to live as full a life as possible. And who knows, you might love it so much that you decide to stay!

In addition, health and social care workers are now classed as ‘key workers’ so this role will allow your children a place in school or nursery whilst you’re at work.

About the role

Exemplar Health Care supports people with complex care needs such as neuro-disabilities, autism, learning disabilities and spinal injury – and you’ll be making a big difference to the lives of some of the most vulnerable people in our communities.

To meet the growing demand for social care in the coming months, we’ve developed a new Associate Carer role. This means that if you proceed through the online recruitment process, you’ll receive a hands-on induction in one of our care homes and buddy up with an experienced colleague whilst you learn the ropes.

Each of our homes is different but your role might involve offering companionship, getting involved in activities, supporting people at meal times and helping people to get in and out of bed – but you can be assured that we won’t ask you to do anything that you haven’t been trained to do!

Is it safe?

Exemplar Health Care is committed to ensuring the safety of all of our colleagues and service users, and we are taking every possible step to minimise the risk of Coronavirus (Covid-19) across our homes.

We’ve implemented a number of precautionary measures, and are closely monitoring the Government’s guidelines and advice to ensure your safety, should you start working at Exemplar Health Care.

We’re working with our external suppliers, relatives and visitors to reduce unnecessary visits to our homes. And it is now our policy that everyone entering an Exemplar Health Care building must wash and dry their hands and complete a screening questionnaire before entry.

We’ve put measures in place to ensure that all colleagues have received up-to-date training about infection prevention and control, and specific training about Coronavirus.

Our homes have increased their daily cleaning schedules and we’re providing extra supplies of cleaning products, to ensure that everyone living and working in our homes stays well.
