#Exemplar20 – celebrating 20 years of making every day better

This year, Exemplar Health Care is celebrating 20 years of providing high-quality care across our homes, and to mark the milestone, we are launching, #Exemplar20, a campaign to profile our people, our achievements, expertise and vision for the future.

#Exemplar20 will mark our 20th year with a brand new logo (pictured above), celebrate long-serving Exemplar Health Care colleagues, home’s reaching their own milestones, profiling our experts across the business in specialist media publications and promoting all of the fantastic work our homes do every, single day for our service users. 

This summer, all homes will hold their own #Exemplar20 party for residents and team members complete with branded party accessories and hold a special inter-home bake-off competition.

Two decades of making every day better

Established in 1999, Exemplar Health Care started as a training company providing adaption courses for overseas nurses. Then, after seeing young people being placed in care homes for the elderly and noticing a need to care for younger adults with complex needs, Exemplar Health Care decided to focus on providing more appropriate specialist nursing care facilities, where people are supported to live life to the fullest.

In 2003, we opened our first purpose-built home, Greenside Court in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. After opening the home, it quickly became clear that this type of specialist service made a significant difference to the lives of people living with complex needs.

This led Exemplar Health Care to expand across Yorkshire and the Humber, the North West and the Midlands to provide even more specialist care homes.

Looking ahead

Now with 26 care homes, our 20th year will see us open new homes in the North West and Yorkshire, further expanding our expertise and high-quality care for more people.

In Yorkshire, Kingfisher View opens in April, followed by Copperfields, a new service in Leeds in September. We will also be opening the doors at our new home St Andrew’s Court in Hull this Summer. In the North West, Brook View in Liverpool is set to open in June, followed by Ribble View in Preston during November.
