Exemplar Health Care submits planning application for new care home in Sunderland

We're pleased to announce that we've put in a planning application to build a new care home in Sunderland, on Poole Road on the land of the former Ford and Hylton Social Club.
The proposed 30-bed care home will support adults who need specialist nursing care and rehabilitation following a brain injury, spinal cord injury or stroke, or are living with a complex physical disability or mental health condition.
We’ve worked closely with health and social care authorities in the area and hope to bring this one-of-a-kind facility to Sunderland to enable local people who have suffered an accident, or are living with complex needs, to receive the specialist care that they need close to their homes and loved ones.
Plans for the home
We’re working with reputable pre-application Planning Advisors and Architects to ensure that the design of the building is in keeping with the local area, whilst also meeting the needs of the residents who will live in the home.
