  • Location: Home-based with some travel to our Support Centre in Sheffield and care homes across the country

  • Salary: £28,000

  • Contract: 12 month fixed term contract covering maternity leave

Bring your creativity to care - we’re looking for a Graphic Designer to join our Marketing Team and bring our communications to life through creative, impactful design. 

In this varied and rewarding role, you’ll help shape how we tell our story - from designing bold campaigns and engaging print materials, to creating digital assets and emails that stand out and make a difference.

Our team supports projects across internal communications, recruitment, and occupancy, so no two days are the same. 

One week you might be working on our in-house magazine, the next developing designs for a careers campaign or crafting infographics that explain our complex care.

We’re looking for someone who’s:

  • full of ideas and loves bringing them to life visually

  • confident working across print and digital

  • organised, detail-focused, and collaborative

  • keen to make a difference through design.

Please note, this is a hybrid role, with most of your time working from home. You must be able to travel to our Support Centre in Sheffield and care homes across England as needed (mileage reimbursed).

About this role

This is an exciting and varied role with responsibilities including:

  • developing concepts and designs that meet user needs and align with audience personas and brand strategy

  • preparing and presenting design proposals for feedback and approval

  • creating a wide range of designs including adverts, brochures, hoarding, leaflets, letters, magazines, posters, reports, signs, and social media assets

  • turning complex information into clear, visual content to aid understanding and engagement

  • ensuring all design work adheres to the company’s brand guidelines

  • supporting the creation of accessible information, using tools and AI where appropriate to produce content in a range of accessible formats.

About you 

Just like the people we support, everyone in our team brings something unique. To thrive as a Graphic Designer at Exemplar Health Care, there are some key qualities and skills you’ll need.

You’ll be someone who has:

  • at least two years of experience in a design role

  • a portfolio that showcases creativity and strong layout and typography across both digital and print

  • proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign/Illustrator/Photoshop), Microsoft Office, and Canva

  • the ability to create on-brand designs that align with existing styles and guidelines

  • exceptional attention to detail

  • strong organisational and time-management skills.

While a design qualification or degree is desirable, it's not essential.
