A Chartered Fellow of the CIPD and Doctor of Business Administration, he leads our approach to recruitment, talent, organisational development, and colleague wellbeing.

Matthew joined Exemplar Health Care in 2022 and oversees the HR function, including the HR Business Partner, Employee Relations, Recruitment, and Learning and Development teams, as well as the Exemplar Academy.
He is passionate about creating environments, opportunities, and cultures where people can be their authentic selves, and champions inclusivity, career development, and lifelong learning.
Experience
Matthew has more than 20 years’ experience in HR across private and public sector organisations.
He has held senior HR leadership roles with AstraZeneca, Compass Group, Walgreens Boots Alliance, and University College London.
He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and holds a Doctor of Business Administration.
He has also served as an advisory board member for Nottingham Business School and as a RemCo member for Loughborough College.
