Welcome to The Lodge
At The Lodge, we build our care and activity plans around an individual, supporting and encouraging people to be happy, cared for and as independent as possible.
Making every day better is about achieving the best possible outcomes for those we care for, so we identify goals and outcomes together with individuals, families and professionals.
The Lodge is a vibrant and homely bungalow with six bedrooms, a dining kitchen, two lounges and an activity room. Bedrooms are furnished and decorated to suit personal tastes and every room has an accessible ensuite wet room and TV and telephone points.
At The Lodge, we understand the importance of good, nutritious food. Our dining menu is developed with service users to ensure a varied and interesting menu is available to everyone, taking into account personal preferences, condition-specific and religious dietary requirements.
Life at The Lodge
Social activities, leisure interests and hobbies are all part of a healthy, balanced life. The Lodge’s activity co-ordinator and service users work together to create meaningful and fun plans. As well as group activities, staff facilitate individual hobbies and interests and where appropriate, support to access education via ASDAN qualifications and volunteering opportunities.
Regular outings including pub lunches, shopping trips, the cinema and theatre are popular. The Under the Stars nightclub in Sheffield is a favourite, and annual activities in the village include a parade and carnival. Service users are also supported to go on holidays, with previous trips to York, Filey and Whitby. An accessible minibus means there is always transport available.
All service users have access to the sensory room, designed to develop a person's senses through special lighting, music and objects. A large enclosed garden with fruit trees includes a patio area with space for summer BBQs and parties. Accessible for all, the garden includes areas for gardening and relaxation.
Friends, families and visitors
Our open door policy means friends and family are welcome to visit at any time and be involved in care planning and reviews. We encourage everyone to be involved in giving those we look after the best possible quality of life.
