Welcome to Church Walk
At Church Walk nursing home in Rochdale, the specialist team develop care and activity plans with people, supporting and encouraging them to be happy, cared for and fulfilled. An inclusive therapeutic community, we strive to maintain and increase an individual’s life skills. Church Walk cares for people with a range of complex needs including neuro-disabilities, mental ill-health, stroke and brain injuries.
Church Walk has two units, Cavendish and Daventry, each with nine bedrooms, a choice of two lounges and a dining room.
Service users are encouraged to decorate their bedrooms to suit personal tastes and TV points and temperature controls are available in all rooms.
At Church Walk, we understand the importance of good, nutritious food. Our restaurant style dining menu is developed with service users to ensure a varied and interesting menu is available to everyone, taking into account personal preferences, condition-speciﬁc and religious dietary requirements.

Life with us
Social activities, leisure interests and hobbies are all part of a healthy, balanced life. The Church Walk team support service users to make choices about how they live their lives, their hobbies and interests and where appropriate, access to education and volunteering. Regular service user forums allow people to share their views and develop ideas for future activities as well as commenting on the day-to-day running of their home.
We have a busy social calendar, which changes every week, and includes a range of activities to encourage independence.
The landscaped, sensory garden includes patio areas, a raised bed for growing herbs, a greenhouse and a water feature.
