Welcome to Church Walk

At Church Walk, we build our care and activity plans around an individual, supporting and encouraging them to be happy, cared for and fulfilled. An inclusive therapeutic community, we strive to maintain and increase an individual’s life skills.

Our home

Church Walk has two units, Cavendish and Daventry, each with nine bedrooms, a choice of two lounges and a dining room.

Service users are encouraged to decorate their bedrooms to suit personal tastes and TV points and temperature controls are available in all rooms.

At Church Walk, we understand the importance of good, nutritious food. Our restaurant style dining menu is developed with service users to ensure a varied and interesting menu is available to everyone, taking into account personal preferences, condition-specific and religious dietary requirements.

Life with us

Social activities, leisure interests and hobbies are all part of a healthy, balanced life. The Church Walk team support service users to make choices about how they live their lives, their hobbies and interests and where appropriate, access to education and volunteering. Regular service user forums allow people to share their views and develop ideas for future activities as well as commenting on the day-to-day running of their home.

We have a busy social calendar, which changes every week, and includes a range of activities to encourage independence.

The landscaped, sensory garden includes patio areas, a raised bed for growing herbs, a greenhouse and a water feature.

“The home is great and the staff are brilliant with my brother. Since moving there I see a big change in him he is happy, clean, comfortable and well looked after. The staff are caring and approachable. If my brother is happy I am happy too. The service is everything I could want and more, my last comment would be to keep up the good work” Relative

“Since moving into the home in June this year I have seen a big change in my brother, he has started coming out of himself a bit. He is always encouraged to do as much for himself as he can, he lives in a happy relaxed home where the staff are nothing short of fantastic” Relative
