Our Copperfields Preview Event

Set to officially open in September, works are nearing completion at our brand-new Leeds home Copperfields. This week we hosted a preview event for local stakeholders and health and social care professionals to see how far the development has come and to get a feel for what Copperfields has to offer.

We gave multiple guided tours of the facilities and grounds at Copperfields across a four-hour period and attendees were able to speak with a selection of our management team. The team talked through the key development milestones that have been reached and shared the vision for how the home will operate once it is complete.
Commissioners were particularly impressed with the space and size of the rooms and the range of facilities at the home. Copperfields is a 30-bed care home with each floor having 10 large bedrooms plus an en suite wet room along with a dining room and communal lounge. Other areas include a quiet lounge on each floor, a large communal activities area, a therapy room and spacious family room.

Reinforcing our local links, we partnered with local gardening group Cross Green Growing Together and used their wonderful new facilities to provide refreshments and a hub for meeting and chatting with attendees prior to the event. We’ve kept in touch with the group since member David Wormald named our new home Copperfields through a competition earlier in the year.

Our Regional Director of Operations, Charlotte Lloyd, said: “The Copperfields preview event was well attended by local commissioners who all gave excellent feedback on the space and facilities available within the home. We’re looking forward to further engagement with health and social care professionals over the coming months and to providing placement opportunities for the region as we approach our opening this Autumn.

We’d like to thank our neighbours Cross Green Growing Together who provided refreshments and a lovely meeting venue for the day. We’re looking forward to collaborating further once the home is open.”
